Tom O’Shea appointed as Commissioner

Tom O’Shea has returned to the Department of Fish and Game. This time Tom will be our Commissioner ! This announcement was made from Rebecca Tepper, Secretary of Mass Office of Energy and Environment.

David O’Neil from MassAudubon says, “Tom is a biologist, forester, outdoor enthusiast, and innovator whose previous service in state government shaping wildlife and land management policies, combined with his successful tenure at The Trustees that included spotlighting the importance of coastal resiliency, makes him uniquely qualified to take on vital issues ranging from managing and restoring rivers, forests, and marshes to advancing critical climate solutions." I think we can agree.

There is a nice article in the Worcester Telegram about Tom from 4/28/2023.
